2003 Rx7 Series 8 twin turbo.

Fresh from Covert Autostyles garage this Rx7's interior is now looking the part of a show car. With sexy blue suede from front to back and supple leather white seats it's a fresh ride. Todd from Covert put many hours in making sure every piece was trimmed to perfection with that 'factory look', only way cooler, as can be seen. To compliment the trim work a blue momo steering wheel, gear knob and pedals were added. Gadget wise a Greddy timer, G-tech, carbon fibre missile switch (for boost control) and Autometer gauges finish of the interiors trick bits.

The entertainment system includes DVD, TV, Rear View Camera MP3/MP4 etc, And a sound you have to hear to believe. One big mother of a soundstream amp runs the 2 12" Sony subs that are sunk in a Karatan glass box giving chest punching bass. The rest of the sound is supported by a Sony amp running Sony mids and tweeters to look after any tone that can be thrown at it. Todd masterfully installed the amps and added a rotor symbol over perspex to give it rotor class.

The Rx7 has had some major suspension upgrades including Aragosta coilovers, front and rear sway bars, mazda speed front strut brace and carbon fibre rear strut brace, she sits very rigid and handles like a track car it even lifts wheels when entering driveways!  And just so you cant miss it she sits on AME 20" Rims which fill the arch's nicely, and for track days theres some 17" lightweight race rims sitting in the shed.

As for bodywork its currently fitted with a kit form Autoexe and a Mazdaspeed rear wing. This may change soon to a c-west kit and no wing to give it a smoother lower look. The front bar has been fitted with aftermarket lights and clear side indicators to give it a further mod'd look.

This brings me to the engine which at this stage is still relatively stock.. sad i know, and while a 13.5 second quarter mile from factory is still reasonable its not enough! So this year will be all about making the rx go faster! Current engine mods are electronic boost control, K@N filter with a carbon fibre cold air intake and a sports exhaust.  I am currently preparing funds to have a single turbo conversion performed so i can try and perform some 10 second runs, so stay tuned!!

Would Like to give a HUGE thanks to Todd Hopkins from COVERT AUTOSTYLES for doing an immaculate job on the interior, if anyone wants some work done from small to large I highly recommend his work he does not dissapoint!
